Through the ministry of RUF staff workers and partners, I was challenged to seriously consider what I actually want out of university life. The biggest impact of RUF’s partnership with my CF is that it got students to seriously think about what life is really about, and how we should be using our university years. RUF doesn’t just try to teach you the Bible or Christianity—it teaches you to actually be a Christian. That means getting your brain firing, thinking deeply about how you, as a person, will serve our God.

RUF is really about making my uni life count for Jesus. Without RUF, I wouldn’t have seen what it means to live my campus life fully for the glory of God. This is something I am eternally grateful to RUF for during my university years. The idea of living your uni life to glorify Jesus—doing CF ministry, evangelizing others, caring for fellow Christians, while also managing your studies—can be very difficult. But at the same time, it has been good training for me as I prepare to enter the working world, showing me how I can be a better Christian for my church. MAHSA CF is run by a bunch of students who are inexperienced in ministry. RUF provides us biblical teaching, staff workers and plenty of resources so our leaders are fully equipped to run ministry for Jesus’ glory. As students, our view towards University is no longer a place only to obtain our academic qualifications, but to serve our Lord as He fulfills His promise to gather His people from different tongues, people and nations into His kingdom.
